This app reads a private conversation between two people, only one of whom agreed to it. That comes first.
What Aimii reads
- A conversation you import: the message text, who sent each one, and when.
- Answers you give to the eight-question quiz.
- Your email address, used to sign in and for nothing else.
- Which readings you have drawn, and on which days.
What happens to a chat export
- A LINE .txt export is read on your phone. The file is never uploaded — only the messages you confirm on the preview screen are saved.
- A screenshot is different: it is uploaded so the text can be read out of the picture, and it is stored privately in your account until you delete it.
What leaves our systems
- To interpret a reading, the most recent sixty messages of the relevant conversation and the computed statistics are sent to an AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI). They process it to produce the reading and, under their API terms, do not use it to train models.
- When you ask AI to read a conversation, the short passages selected on your device — at most twelve of them, at most six messages each, capped at 200 characters — are sent to the same provider. Nothing is sent unless you ask.
- Some pages carry advertising: the type and compatibility pages, and the page with the daily card. Those adverts are served by an affiliate network, which can see that a browser loaded them — the usual address and browser details — and sets its own cookies if you click through. Nothing about your conversations, your readings or your account is available to them, and there are no adverts on the pages where a conversation is read.
- A subscription removes the adverts.
- Nothing else is sent anywhere. There is no analytics service, and no third party receives your data for any other purpose.
The other person
- The conversation you import has two people in it, and only you agreed to this. Please think about that before importing, and do not import a conversation you would not be willing to show the other person.
- Their messages are stored under your account, protected by the same rules as everything else, and deleted when you delete the relationship or your account. We never contact them and never build a profile of them outside your account.
Where it is kept
- In a Supabase Postgres database, hosted in the region chosen for the project. Every table is protected by row level security: a request carrying your sign-in token can read and write your rows and no one else's, enforced by the database rather than by the app.
- Screenshots live in private storage under a path beginning with your user id, and the same rule applies to them.
- On your phone: your sign-in token in the Keychain, and your settings — language, chosen decorations — in local storage. No message text is kept on the device outside the app's own database cache.
Deleting it
- Settings → Delete everything removes your relationships, messages, readings and stored images.
- Deleting your account removes the rest; every table cascades from your user record, so nothing is left behind.
Children
- Aimii is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly keep data from them.
Changes and contact
- If this policy changes in a way that affects what happens to your data, the app will say so before the change applies.
